First Baptist Church dates back to 1698 and the building is a historic landmark which was constructed in 1899. It is a tribute to God’s presence in and through His people that this edifice has been erected. Our task is to stand on the shoulders of those now gone, and with similar inspiration, raise a ministry that gives hope to those whose faith has faltered and stir creative imagination to all who wish to believe.
